The mission of the Synth-Portland Weekly Challenge is to inspire, connect and encourage a community. With this first release, it is my hope that this community will grow and reach even further.

This collection of material has been created by electronic musicians in the greater Portland area of Oregon. Each week a pre-submitted prompt was selected randomly by software. Members of the community then composed, recorded and shared their musical reaction in a week or less.

Out of the participants, those who submitted something for 8 or more weeks of the 12 week session were invited to share a piece on this collection.

The order of the songs was selected by a small group of test listeners for optimal musical flow.
